Olonkho in theatre

Theatre is one of the widely available means of communication of spiritual information encoded in the richest treasury of the Yakut culture –epos olonkho. Being a synthetic art by nature, it is the theatre that is able to affect a human being’s spirit, feelings and mind. Yakut epos is represented in the theatre from different sides – words, music, dance, and staging. That is why theatre is of great importance in reproduction, preservation and development of Olonkho traditions and in general sense – of Yakut folklore traditions.
