Associate professor of the Department of archeology and history of Yakutia at M.K.Ammosov Yakutsk State University, candidate of historical sciences, senior lecturer.

In 1994 he defended the thesis on a theme «History and culture of Evens of northwestern Verkhoyansky district (end of ХIХ-80s of XXc.)»

From 1982 till 1989 he worked as the chairman of executive committee of Lamynhinsky Village Soviet.

Since 1989 till present time he has been teaching at M.K.Ammosov Yakutsk State University.

A.A.Alexeyev is the participant and the organizer of many scientific expeditions, shootings of documentary films about culture of peoples of Yakutia: BBC (Great Britain), MNK (Japan), film-companies of Switzerland, Sweden, France, and South Korea, and also he is a traveller, a photographer, a hunter and a fisherman. He was one of the first who read lectures on traditional culture and shamanism at the Cambridge and Oxford universities of the Great Britain.

A.A.Alexeyev is the author of more than 40 scientific works, including 2 monographs. He was awarded with the Certificate of honor of the Ministry of higher education of the USSR and Central Committee of Leninist Young Communist League of the Soviet Union for successes in scientific work, he is the winner of the VIth All-Union competition of students’ works (1976, Moscow).
