Applied Art of schoolchildren
Applied art as a variety of art is distinguished for imagination and creativity. It appeals to nature, to development of internal powers, careful use of resources. Thirst for light, beauty, creativity makes a person to fulfill incredible ideas, sets on the new track. National craftsmen use new materials, master new kinds of applied art. There work 133 craftsmen - teachers of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the system of extracurricular education of children of the republic . The noteworthy directions in the development of applied art of children are as follows:
- handicrafts made of horsehair; - handicrafts made of duck down; - handicrafts made of birch bark; - handicrafts made of wood; - handicrafts made of willow; - making jewels; - making ceramics; - genres of the fine arts. Primary goals and the purpose of the further activity are: creation such conditions for each child in which he could choose educational area, a kind of activity, the program, period of studying/mastering. The educational process should appeal to a personality, promote motivation of a person in gaining knowledge, creativity, professional self-determination of children and their self-realization. This year from January, 27 till January, 28 the Republican Centre of extracurricular education of children carried out the festival « Light of the North »in Yakutsk with a view of activization and popularization of children's theatres and fashion studios . There took part the representatives from Namsky, Khangallassky, Megino-Kangalassky, Verkhneviluisky, Viluisky, Gorny, Amginsky, Churapchinsky, Ust-Aldansky, Anabarsky, Abyisky, Suntarsky uluses (districts) and from Yakutsk (754 children, 99 defiles). The jury worked under Zvereva A.N.'s presidency, the national craftsman, a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, honored art worker of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia);
